FAA issues Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) concerning operation in Venezuela’s Maiquetia Flight Information Region.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued NOTAM LOCZ A0012/25 effective November 21, 2025 through February 19, 2026, which requires (i) requiring 72 hours advance notice (faawatch@faa.gov) of operations to, from, and within the Maiquetia Flight Information Region airspace (SVZM FIR); (ii) warning of risk to aircraft at all altitudes, including during overflight, the arrival and departure phases of flight, and/or airports and aircraft on the ground; and (iii) requiring operators to report, to the FAA’s Washington Operations Center (+202-267-3333), any safety or security incidents observed or experienced while operating in the affected airspace.
